This past weekend was a crazy one...but tons of FUN!
Mikell and I drove out to El Paso...26 HOURS!!!! It was a long trip but a good one - It was nice to just be able to spend time with Mikell alone because he is going to be in El Paso until our wedding.
Our first stop was Birmingham, Alabama where we got to hang out with Elaine and Keith. It was nice to see them - I hadnt seem then since August and Mikell got to put faces with names. We also got to meet some of their friends! We had a good short little visit.
Our next stop was Colleyville, Texas where we had a little party with a team Mikell had worked with from Assembly Life Church. It was amazing! They threw us a little wedding shower which was way more than we ever expected! It was refreshing to see adults have a passion for the ministry as much as Mikell does. Everyone was soooooo supportive and encouraging!!!
Our last, but not least, stop was the great city of EL PASO, TEXAS!!
I was only there for a short while but it got me very excited about our new life together there! Its a great little town with wonderful shopping (haha!!) And lots of starbucks to cure my cravings haha. I am glad I was able to make a little trek out there before our big move in June (West Fest '09 Part 2).
Pray for Mikell and the casas ministry as they continue to reach out to the people of Juarez!
