In Remembrance...

There are few words for a thing like this. So instead, I will write memories. They were ages ago, but now feel like yesterday.

I remember the first time we hung out. We were IMing each other, because thats what you did when we were high school, and he asked me if I wanted to go get milkshakes. Well of course I did! I was in 10th grade and he was in 11th and this little trip to Steak 'n Shake at about 10pm started our friendship. I remember him asking for extra cherries and thinking that was wierd, but endearding at the same time. He was gentle, playful spirit.

I remember him asking me to prom in October because "Lulu, we should go to prom together. It will be fun!" Prom wasnt until April....
He picked me up and when we got in his truck he blind folded me. I had no idea where we were going but it was a surprise he said. We ended up at his house where he had set up a 'restaurant.' He had even made menus...LuLu's Diner. Later that night he took me and a bunch of friends out on his pontoon where we hung out and danced until late into the morning.

I remember going to playgrounds with him and having good talks.

I remember his sketches, his stories.

I remember him telling me I was his friend and listing the reasons why.

I remember him taking me to his house to ride four wheelers and hang out. We ended up sitting in his living room, me on the keyboard and him on the guitar.

I remember spending part of my spring break in Panama City with him, Kendra and Tim. I remember screaming things under water at each other trying to figure out what the other was saying. "Tim cups his balls in his left hand" is what he said haha. I remember being really embarrassed when I had to say that out loud.

I remember our conversation on my front porch.
