{Let's Start Over...}

I'm Lindsay. And this is my blog. And I have neglected it for over a year.

I did, however, start another one - Teaching in the 915.

It's about my teaching escapades. But I haven't written on that one since April.

So, I have decided that I was start over with my blogging ventures. Hopefully, Ill be more successful since it is summer and for the next 2.5 months I am pretty FREE to do WHATEVER I WANT! I cannot even tell you how exciting I am about that!

This past school year whooped my butt. I got my own classroom so I thought it was going to be easier than floating like I did last year but I was wrong. This year was more emotionally exhausting than physically.

I had a rare bunch of kids - convicted criminals, only-spanish-speaking, kids whose parents are in jail (for murder, yikes!), repeats and threepeats, 18 and 19 year old freshmen, and kids who live on their own and somehow come to school everyday. I had military kids, black, white, hispanic, and asian kids. I had kids who couldn't read or write. I had some kids that I only saw once in a while because they were absent almost everyday. I had drug dealers, drug users, and drug smugglers. I had thieves, attempted murderers and liars.

I am tired. So needless to say....

.... I am super excited about this summer! I have lots of plans, lots of people to see, lots of traveling and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
